Photography workshop in Jerusalem Old City

Born in Jerusalem, Built for Light

Lens Israel started in 2014 when a group of working photographers in Jerusalem decided to share the locations, timing, and techniques they'd spent years refining. What began as informal meetups in the Old City grew into structured tours and workshops serving photographers from over 40 countries.

We believe the best images come from understanding both the craft and the place. Our instructors don't just point you at a viewpoint — they teach you to read light, anticipate moments, and tell a story through your frame.

Based at 12 HaNevi'im Street in central Jerusalem, we operate tours across the country with a focus on small groups, respectful access, and images you'll be proud to print.

How We Work

Location Scouting

Every route is re-scouted seasonally. We track construction, festivals, and light angles so your tour delivers fresh compositions.

All Skill Levels

Whether you shoot on a phone or a full-frame rig, our workshops adapt to your gear and experience without dumbing down the craft.

Ethical Photography

We teach respectful street and documentary practice — asking permission, reading cultural context, and photographing with intention.
